Petr L. & Lauren Bozon
Petr grew up in a non-Christian home in communist Czechoslovakia. In 2002, during a short stay in the U.S., he trusted Christ while attending Lauren’s home church in Pennsylvania. As a young believer, he moved back to the Czech Republic where he began attending a church planted by a Josiah Venture missionary, Ken Pitcher. In September 2003, Petr joined the JV team as manager of the Malenovice training and conference center. Lauren followed Petr to Czech in February 2004 and they were married later that year. Currently, Petr is a member of the KAM (JV’s national partner organization) board and heads up all fund-raising for the Czech national team. He manages the construction and reconstruction projects that Josiah Venture undertakes in the Czech Republic, and coordinates the short-term mission teams that come to help. Before the birth of their children, Eliana, Toby and Juliette, Lauren taught English classes at the conference center and tutored private students at home. They make their home in Frydlant, the town where Petr was born and raised. Both are actively involved in the local church plant there.
