Excellent vision night in San Jose!
Excerpt from a letter Dave wrote to the JV team about San Jose:
“We had an excellent vision night in San Jose!
Our arrival there was marked by heavy rain and a very bumpy approach in the plane that left us feeling queasy for hours. In spite of that a good group braved the weather and drove out to the downtown Marriott for our evening desert. Though it was a smaller audience of 85, they were very engaged and warm. The largest number were connected to Poland through Susan Ellis, though there were also supporters of the Czech ministry and some with ties to Romania.
Some friends of ours indicated that they wanted to support an emerging ministry and pledged to get engaged in the Albania work. Another supporter asked me to pray for him that his next business venture will prosper – because he feels led to support JV in a deeper way and would like the resources to do so. Those are good prayer requests!
A youth pastor from the area lost his job this week and his grandfather died the day of our event. Still he came out several hours early and stayed late to help set up and tear down. This kind of sacrificial service humbles us all.
By the way, Lauree, Katka, Mel and the entire B-team are doing an amazing job of pulling off this complicated and demanding tour. They deserve a huge THANK YOU from all of us!”
Thanks for praying for these events! Your prayers are being answered as we connect with people who have a heart for the youth of Eastern Europe.
It’s on to Pasadena tonight!
